Our annual tradition continues for 2026! The Hayward Open Tournament returns again on the weekend of Saturday, June 6th and Sunday, June 7th in 2026, and we are ready to share the first details.
As usual, this will be a 45-hole event. There is an 18-hole stroke play qualifying round on Saturday, followed by 27 holes on Sunday, with your Saturday score determining if you are in the stroke play or match play brackets. There will be an optional practice round with a giant skins game on Friday, June 5th.
The sign-up period for the ’26 Open will begin on Halloween — Friday, October 31st, 2025 — at 9:00am central time. Sign-ups will be accepted via phone call (715-634-2760) or email ([email protected]) at that time. We cap the size of the field, and spots will go fast!
The Hayward Open is, by far, the most celebrated and historic event we have here at HGC. It has a decades-long legacy, and each year adds a major new chapter to the legend. Congratulations again to our 2025 champion, Jack Gustafson, who has now become a seven-time champ, and achieved a second three-peat with his victory this past June!
