It’s been a very busy couple of weeks for events here at Hayward Golf Course, and we wanted to make sure to bring everyone up to speed on some of the notable results!
First, a big congratulations to Adam Palodichuk for winning this year’s Joe Kuta Senior tournament!
Next, we want to recognize the division champs in the Men’s 18-Hole League. Left to right: Tom Sobczak, Al Kiwazek, Larry Everhart, Al Utzig, Joe Becker, Carl Soderstrom, Rob Frenchick.

Congratulations to the Men’s 9-Hole League champions: Andy McNamer and Pat Sabin.
Also, the Women’s 18-Hole League closed out the season last week with their annual Fall Meeting. The League recognized Michelle Lambert and Julie Zawistowski as the 2025 season’s Most Improved Players. Michelle began the season with a handicap index of 27.5 and ended with a 22.2, and Julie began the season with a handicap index of 23.5 and ended with an 18.8!
The League also recognized Pat Patko and Mary Cleary as the 2025 Ringer Board Champions! Congratulations to all League participants on another fabulous golf season in the Northwoods!
Finally, our Black & Blue Cup, a Ryder Cup-style event, unfolded over this past weekend. Team Black retained the Cup in a very close 14-14 contest; congratulations to Team Black’s players:
