Some of our key events of the season are on the way over the next ten days, and we wanted to make sure everyone was fully informed about them!
First, our Women’s Club Championship will unfold over two days on Wednesday and Thursday, August 7th and 8th.
This event will feature 18-holes of golf on each day, as well as TWO divisions: an Open division (for any golfers who wish to play in it) and a Senior division (for golfers ages 70 and up who wish to play in it). Both divisions will be flighted, and within the Senior division, there will be a Red-Green flight for play off of our most forward tees. Whatever your level of competitiveness is, the Championship will have a spot for you! The Open Champion and the Senior Champion will receive dedicated parking spots for the next year, as well!
Tee times start at 8:32am on the 7th and 8:16am on the 8th.
This Championship is open to all female Passholders at Hayward Golf Course, including those with Loyalty passes, and the entry fee is $40 per player, which includes prizes, trophies, and lunch after the second round on the 8th. Payouts will be redeemable for Pro Shop merchandise. We’re hoping for a modern record turnout this year, and we’re on track to see just that!
Then, our Junior Club Championship will take place on the morning of Friday, August 9th. Open to all HGC Passholders 18 years and younger, with separate divisions for girls and boys. Girls will play from the red tees; tee assignments for boys will be age-dependent. Tee times will begin bright and early at 6:44am on the 9th, with an included pancake breakfast to follow after the round!
