One of our greatest traditions continues in 2027! The Hayward Open tournament will be back for another storied installment on the weekend of June 5th and 6th (Saturday and Sunday), 2027, and we’re ready to share the first details with you.
As always, this will be a 45-hole event. There is an 18-hole stroke play qualifying round on Saturday, followed by 27 holes on Sunday, with your Saturday score determining if you are in the stroke play or match play brackets. There will be an optional practice round with a giant skins game on Friday, June 4th.
The sign-up period for the 2027 Open will begin on Halloween — Saturday, October 31st, 2026 — at 9:00am central time. Sign-ups will be accepted via phone calls to the Pro Shop (715-634-2760) or email ([email protected]) at that time. We are capping the size of the field, and spots will go fast!
The Hayward Open is our most historic tournament at HGC, running consistently for decades, and it is an event unlike any other. Each year offers golfers a chance to add their names to the legacy! Congratulations again to our ’26 Champion, Matt Mellin, who took home his second Hayward Open title this past June!
