We wanted to remind everyone about our “100 Years of Golf” 9-Hole scramble and reception on June 8th! This will be a chance for us to commemorate 100 years since Hayward Golf Course first opened for play. The scramble is filling up, but some spots remain open!

This event will unfold in two parts. First, a 9-Hole shotgun scramble will tee-off at 3:30pm, followed by an evening reception:

6:00pm to 7:00pm — Hors d’oeuvres and drinks in the Caddyshak.
7:00pm — Past and Future of HGC: Brief remarks from select Lifetime Passholders and Board members talking about the history of our course and where we’re going from here!

Our goal for the scramble is for it to be a very fun, casual experience! There will be a couple of “special events” involving vintage golf clubs on select holes to add some additional excitement, and we encourage anyone who feels up to the challenge to dress in 1920s golf attire to pay homage to our course’s founding year (obviously not required!). Sign-up as an individual or up to four players.

Entry Fee: $45 per player (includes prizes, a drink ticket for redemption at the reception, and hors d’oeuvres). We also welcome those who want to join us just for the reception starting at 6pm, and the price for that will be $25 per person (includes a drink ticket and hors d’oeuvres).

We’re thrilled to have the chance to celebrate a major milestone like this with the HGC community, and we hope you’ll join us to make it a great afternoon and evening!
