As part of our efforts to continuously improve the course experience and the offerings around the facility, we have identified our driving range and practice facility as the next project we are looking to tackle.
Specifically, we will be replacing all the poles and netting on both the East and West sides of the range. We will increase the number of poles on the East side (road side), which will significantly reduce balls being hit out of the range into neighboring yards. We will be raising the height on the West side (hole #6), which will prevent balls from being hit onto Hole #6.
HGC has purchased all of the poles required for this project (they are located at the North end of the driving range). We would like to raise $50,000 to purchase the netting and to pay for installation of the poles and netting.
In terms of both quality and safety, this will be a marked improvement in the practice facility experience, and we hope you will consider contributing to our fundraising goal. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entity, donations made to the Hayward Civic Corporation can be written-off on your taxes at the end of the year.
