It’s been a very busy few weeks here at Hayward Golf Course, with a variety of events and even one of our Club Championships all kicking off the most packed part of our season in terms of events. We wanted to highlight some of these, recognize those who participated, and provide some photos.
First, let’s celebrate our 2025 Junior Club Champions!
Girls Junior Club Champion — Rayna VonArb
Boys Junior Club Champion — Liam Aldoff
Gold Junior Club Champion — Gage Olson
Then, our Summer Classic 27-hole event resulted in Hans Rasmussen and Eric Lawson taking home the trophies in a playoff against Nik VanVonderen and Mike Garden!
The Bill Rich Memorial saw Simon Terry (1st Flight) and Spud McVicker (Senior Flight) come out on top, while Tom Sobczak, Jackson Terry, and Chad Anderson earned automatic bids for the Black team in the upcoming Black and Blue Cup in September (full details on that event are HERE).
This past weekend, our Civic Benefit Scramble went off without a hitch, with a beautiful afternoon of golf that raised funds towards scholarships for students looking to pursue careers in golf. The winning team this year was Jeff Johnson, Tari Popham, and Dave Hart! Here are some photos of the day’s festivities.
Finally, here’s a look at our Night Golf outing. The smoky skies that evening certainly added some extra ambiance!
