After having such a great time with our Black & Blue Cup last year, we’re excited to bring it back for year two! This is a Ryder Cup-style event that will be comprised of two teams: HGC Passholders (Black) and HGC Staff (Blue). Team Black will be looking to defend their 2024 title this year!
The 2025 Black & Blue Cup will be held at Hayward Golf Course on September 20th and 21st. This match play team event will consist of 54 holes, with an entry fee of $50 per player. There will be a dinner on Saturday night at the course.
Each team will consist of 16 players, and all players will be required to play a minimum of 18 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday. The Black & Blue Cup is not a handicapped event. It has been agreed upon by both team Captains that each team will be made up of a certain number of A, B, and C players.
There are 16 spots available for Season Passholders to get in on the action as part of Team Black, and there will be a qualification process throughout the season, including the Men’s Club Championship (August 23rd & 24th) and the Bill Rich Memorial (July 27th). You must play in at least one of these two events to be eligible for the Black and Blue Cup.
