We’re very excited to announce the Black & Blue Cup, a NEW annual Ryder Cup-style event that will be taking place between Hayward (Black) and Turtleback (Blue).
The 2024 Black & Blue Cup will be held at Hayward Golf Course on September 21st and 22nd. This match play team event will consist of 54 holes, with an entry fee of $50 per player. There will be a dinner on Saturday night at the host course.
Saturday’s first 18 will be 2v2 Best Ball, the second 18 on Saturday will be 2v2 Alternate Shot, and Sunday’s 18 will be 1v1 Match Play. Each team will consist of 16 players, and all players will be required to play a minimum of 18 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday. The Black & Blue Cup is not a handicapped event. It has been agreed upon by both courses that each team will be made up of a certain number of A, (5 players between 0 and 5 hdcp) B, (7 players between 5 and 10 hdcp) and C (4 players 10+ hdcp) players.
To be part of this event, there will be a qualification process for Season Passholders throughout the summer. Golf Pros Ben Resnick (Turtleback) and our own Mitch Byrd will be in contact with their Passholders with ways to qualify and with more in-depth details on the event.
